Getting Started

How does LingoJPX work?

LingoJPX uses Azure AI Speech to transcribe Japanese speech in real time, then Azure AI Translator converts it to English. Simply start a session, grant microphone access, and speak naturally.

Do I need to install anything?

No! LingoJPX runs entirely in your web browser. Just sign up, log in, and start using it immediately.

What browsers are supported?

LingoJPX works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. We recommend Chrome or Edge for the best experience.

Can I use LingoJPX on mobile?

Yes! LingoJPX works on mobile browsers. However, for the best experience with longer meetings, we recommend using a desktop or laptop.

What languages does LingoJPX support?

Currently, LingoJPX transcribes Japanese and translates to English. We plan to add more language pairs in future updates.

How accurate is the transcription?

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, speaker clarity, and accent. Typically, LingoJPX achieves 90-95% accuracy with clear audio.

Can LingoJPX identify different speakers?

Yes! Pro and Business plans include speaker diarization, which automatically identifies and labels different speakers in your meeting.

How many speakers can be identified?

Pro plans support up to 8 speakers. Business plans support unlimited speakers.

Can I search old meeting transcripts?

Yes! All meetings are saved with full transcripts. Use the search feature to find keywords, phrases, or specific speakers across all your meetings.

How long are meetings stored?

Free plans store meetings for 7 days. Pro and Business plans have unlimited storage.

Billing

What counts as transcription time?

Transcription time is the actual duration of audio transcribed, not your total session time. If you pause a meeting, the timer pauses too.

What happens if I exceed my plan limit?

We'll notify you when you approach your limit. You can upgrade to a higher plan or wait for your monthly quota to reset.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for Pro and Business plans. Contact support@lingojpx.com for refunds.

Do you offer annual plans?

Yes! Annual plans come with a 20% discount. Contact our sales team for details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

Security & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes! All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Azure's enterprise-grade security infrastructure with SOC 2 and GDPR compliance.

Who can see my meeting transcripts?

Only you can see your transcripts by default. On Business plans, you can share meetings with specific team members.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centers with enterprise-grade security and compliance certifications.

Do you use my data to train AI models?

No. Your meeting data is private and never used for AI training or shared with third parties.

Technical

What audio quality do I need?

For best results, use a good quality microphone in a quiet environment. Built-in laptop mics work, but external USB mics or headsets provide better accuracy.

Does LingoJPX work offline?

No, LingoJPX requires an internet connection to access Azure AI services for transcription and translation.

Can I upload audio files for transcription?

This feature is coming soon! Currently, LingoJPX supports live meeting transcription only.

Is there an API?

Yes, API access is available on Business plans. Contact our sales team for API documentation and access.
